Enroute to Antarctic Peninsula

Professor Molchanov managed a landing at Orcardas, South Orkneys. Early season navigation is tricky because of packed ice in the Weddel sea and enroute from South Georgia to Elephant Island. An attempt to land at Elephant Island has been cancelled by both ships, Molchanov and Multanovkiy, as the whole area is still blocked with ice. Professor Molchanov is sailing to the West side of the Peninsula with a scheduled landing in the morning of the 18 November. The South Shetland Islands are free of ice. The West side of the Pensinsula.
