During the day of lectures and IAATO mandatory briefings many of the passengers have spend time on deck soaking up the sun! So far the expedition has spotted five different spieces of Albatrosses: Wandering, Royal, Black-browed, Grey-headed and Light-mantled Sooty Albatross. Several smaller groups of Humpback Whales have been seen near the South Shetland. Also, two Southern Bottlenose Whales have been reported. Tomorrow the ship will take course to the Antarctic Sound with a stop at Brown Bluff in the morning and ice cruising east in the afternoon.

News items are updated irregularly.
