Plancius - the ship is now afloat

Full steam ahead: Our new polar expedition vessel "Plancius" is ready to sail and will set new standards to the world of expedition cruising: space, comfort & style, modern technology and safety appliances. Plancius is now freshly painted and alongside the dock in the Netherlands as she is waiting for her final sea trials while a team of builders is finalising the interior of the vessel. The Crew will board this month and bring life to Plancius . The ship waiting for her departure from the Netherlands early December in order to carry out - as scheduled - the first Antarctic voyage on 08 January 2010. Check our image gallery for real photo's of the cabins and the comfortable lounge with stunning panoramic views, check all pictures here.
